The white footed mouse, also known as the wood mouse, is a native rodent to Connecticut.  White footed mice are about seven to eight inches long including the tail.  The white footed mouse has a body averaging 3 ½ inches to 4 inches.  Its tail is smaller than its body.  The white footed mouse takes its name from its almost stark white feet.  Its body has a brownish coloring, while is underbelly is slightly lighter.  The white footed mouse lives from a year to two years in Connecticut.
